The grades of P, S, NP, U, I, and IP carry no course points, and the units in such courses are non included in class-point average (GPA) computations.

UC Berkeley and visiting Summer Sessions students are required to complete the work by the start day of instruction of the following Leap semester or the I course will lapse to either an F or NP and become a part of the GPA ciphering. Consult the Berkeley Academic Guide for instructions on removing the I course.
The I grade is non physically replaced or removed from the academic record. Completion of the work is reflected as a subsequent line entry on the record, and the units and grade points earned volition exist included in subsequent GPA computations.
Course IP (In Progress)
IP grade can only exist assigned to UC Berkeley students considering its removal is contingent on enrollment in the class in the adjacent term. Please refer to the Berkeley Academic Guide for more data.
